First - being before all others with respect to time, order, rank, importance.

 

First (GK) Proton -before, at the beginning, chiefly. First in time, rank, order, and status. Prototype derives from proton.

 

Prototype is defined as the original or model on which something is based or formed. Someone or something that serves to illustrate the typical qualities of a class.

 

Those who are first possess a pioneering spirit. A pioneer is:

1. a person who is among those who first enter or settle a region, thus opening it for occupation and development by others.

2. a colonist, explorer, or settler of a new land, region, etc.

3. an innovator or developer of something new.

4. one that is first to open or prepare (a way, settlement, etc.).

5. one to lead the way for (a group); trailblazer.
